Most outages aren’t caused by the carrier’s network failing everywhere. They’re a cut cable on your street, a failed device at your building, or a problem that only affects your circuit. A backup connection that uses a different path and a different technology keeps phones, card payments and cloud apps running while the primary gets fixed.

LTE and 5G backup

A cellular router or managed wireless service that fails over automatically. Fast to install and inexpensive to keep on standby.

Fixed wireless

A second wired-quality connection over the air, with no shared trench with your fiber.

Diverse second circuit

A second wired circuit from a different carrier on a different physical path, for sites that can’t go down.

How we help

Tell us what runs over your connection and what an hour of downtime costs. We recommend the right level of backup, quote it across providers, and make sure the failover is tested before you rely on it.

Frequently asked questions

What is internet failover?

Internet failover is an automatic switch from your primary connection to a backup connection when the primary fails, so users and phones keep working without anyone changing settings.

Is LTE or 5G backup enough?

For most small and mid-size offices, yes. Cellular backup handles email, cloud apps, VoIP and payments during an outage. Sites that move large amounts of data or can never go down usually need a second wired circuit.

Why isn’t a second line from the same carrier enough?

Two circuits from one carrier often share the same cable, conduit or equipment, so one failure takes both down. A different carrier or technology avoids the shared point of failure.

Will my phones keep working during failover?

They can. The firewall or SD-WAN device needs to be set up to keep calls working when the internet connection changes. We check this before cutover.

Is it really free?

Yes. The provider you select compensates us, so our design and sourcing cost you nothing.

Had an outage recently?

Tell us what happened and what runs on your connection. We’ll recommend the right backup and quote it across providers.
